Helping nonprofit executives and board members increase their effectiveness, navigate growth and change, and make what should be less hard exactly that.

Hello!

My name is Sue Dalelio

I believe that boards are probably the most underleveraged strategic resource in our sector. The state of a governing board dramatically impacts every aspect of an organization’s strategy and operational capacity. When boards are fully leveraged with board members focused, and ACTING, on what matters most to an organization’s success, it is transformative - for the organization, and for every constituent including board members themselves. Too many leaders struggle with this for so many understandable reasons. (I know I did!) And I know they don’t have to.

Leveraging my hard-won lessons and best practices over 25+ years of experience as a nonprofit executive in addition to serving as a board chair, I am excited to help great, good people address their pain points and opportunities in this critical area. For those who have been benefiting from

a strong board-executive partnership, I can help you

evolve to keep pace with organizational strategic

evolution and development.

Client Testimonials

"Sue is a tremendous, and quite unique, non-profit leader, whose expertise includes leading culture transformation – ensuring that her organizations are healthy and high performing to rapidly advanced outcomes – while also being a savvy strategist who possesses the implementational awareness to make those strategies realistic and successful.

She’s been a trusted partner to founders and nonprofit CEO’s, helping them to implement their visions and ideas, while working closely with them to build strong, sustainable partnerships with their leadership teams and Boards, alike.  And, most important to anyone working in our sector today, Sue has done, and continues to do, the important work and personal learning necessary to foster human-centered, inclusive and equitable cultures. I feel blessed to have worked alongside her!"

- Bob Giannino, Senior Vice President, Lindauer; past Ansin President & Chief Executive Officer, United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley

"Sue is an impressive leader of boards and a partner to executive staff. As chair, she played a critical role in developing an inclusive, healthy, strategic and productive board. Serving with her as co-leader of the founders' transition and executive search, I can attest to her breadth of expertise and abilities as a strategist, operational and cultural leader."

– Aimee Hendrigan, Executive Vice President, Melville Charitable Trust

“Sue was our rock as our founding board chair. She supported us building our board, developing and sustaining healthy organizational systems, and navigating the complex process of being founders. Under her leadership, our board was high-functioning, healthy, and inclusive. But just as importantly, she was a reliable coach and partner to us, and the level of expertise she brought made her an unmatched resource as we navigated the strategic and day to day questions of leading an early-stage organization.”

– Sam Greenberg, Co-founder, Y2Y Network

“Sue's many years as a nonprofit executive allows her to approach her partnerships with empathy and an impressive breadth of expertise. Her leadership impact at Y2Y Network was immediate and sizable, from building and leading a high performing board to coaching me on an array of strategic and operational areas. She is a gifted professional who elevates every organization who has the great fortune of working with her."

– Sarah Rosenkrantz, Co-founder, Y2Y Network
